Earlier Formula Vees are outdated by today’s standards and are typically run in a vintage class. Other are updated with the more current zero-roll rear suspension and more slippery body work and continue to race with the SCCA, however they’re often mixed with newer, more sophisticated and faster cars. “I would love to see more people come out and compete in Formula Vee, I think its a very comfortable class. The only problem is we are now running in mixed groups with SCCA which complicates the situation a lot — it’s pretty scary out there sometimes,” lamented Steve Davis of Formula Vee.us.
